I am pleased to see that Crosley has used an Audio-Technica moving magnet cartridge rather than the cheaper ceramic cartridge used in other models. The headshell is removable, so you can replace it whenever you want, and with an adjustable pitch control, you can fine-tune playback speed for more accurate sound reproduction.

Unfortunately, the quality of the tonearm is a bit wanting. It’s just a metal tube with a cheap-looking plastic headshell. No wonder some users have experienced tracking issues with it.

Final Verdict

To be honest, I am not thrilled by this unit. Don’t misunderstand me, though. It can play your records nicely at your chosen speed. The built-in speakers also produce good sound. However, I am worried that it can damage a user’s treasured records, especially if the motor becomes unstable or the tonearm develops tracking issues. I am also not comfortable with its overall appearance. It just looks odd. Again, that’s me. You may love it.
